Level One

The Level One syllabus is not yet operational in Cork but we expect to be ready in March 2010. A list of dates and venues for these courses will be posted on this site as soon as they are confirmed. 

This course is to be divided in to 3 strands : 
  • Level One Youth 
  • Level One Adolescent 
  • Level One Adult 
Coaches will be asked to choose from one of these strands to progress to level one certification. Should a coach wish to complete 2 strands, he will complete a strand in full eg Level One Youth and then complete the uncommon section of his other chosen strand eg Level One Adolescent.

Two Award 1 Coaching Course for Youth & Adult Coaches for both hurling and football have been scheduled to begin on Monday 14th February 2011.  One course will take place in a City Venue and the other in a North Cork Venue. 

Coaches are welcome to do the whole course both hurling and football or you can choose to do one code. 
All coaches must attend the common modules but coaches that want to do hurling pick the hurling modules and coaches who want to do football pick the football modules. 
If you do the two codes it is 10 nights and if you do one code it is 7 nights.

Monday 21st February, 7 - 9.30pm (Hurling)
Monday 28th February, 7 - 9.30pm (Hurling)
Monday 7th March, 7 - 9.30pm (Hurling)
Monday 14th March, 7 - 9.30pm (Football)
Monday 21st March, 7 - 9.30pm (Football)
Monday 28th March, 7 - 9.30pm (Football)
Monday 4th April, 7 - 9.30pm (Common Module)
Monday 11th April, 7 - 9.30pm (Common Module)
Monday 18th April, 7 - 9.30pm (Common Module)

The Award 1 course is the next step after the Foundation level course. 
To complete the Award 1 Course all participants must have completed the Foundation level course.
The total cost of the course is €120 per person.
