NEW APPOINTMENT TO COACHING TEAM

Coiste Oiliuna Chorcai have received a timely boost to their summer operations with the appointment of an Urban Development Officer for 3 months. The position is part of a national initiative to tackle GAA participation issues that are unique to urban areas.

Cork Clubs Play in Croke Park

Munster Council hosted blitzes in Croke Park on the 26th/27th April for clubs in the Province. As part of this initiative, eight lucky Cork clubs were chosen to participate. The teams played 3 games on the pitch as well as a stadium tour in what was a once in a life time trip for players and mentors.
Imokilly U8 Hurling Blitz A Huge Success

BUMPER CROWD ATTEND CONFERENCE
Last Edited: 2011-02-22The first Cork GAA Coaching Conference was held in C.I.T. on saturday February 5th. Despite the inclement weather, a capacity crowd of 250 coaches attended on the day.

GDA’s NOW AVAILABLE FOR CLUB VISITS

Now that the playing season is about to recommence, it gives clubs a chance to plan ahead for the season. The Games Development Administrators are now available to do some club visits over the next few months to help with club coaching plans, upskill coaches and to advise on all the latest coaching information available to coaches.
CLUB GAA MANUAL

CLUB SCHOOL LINK WORKSHOP
Last Edited: 2010-10-22Coiste Oiliuna have in the past 12 months undergone major change and are now reaching out to all units of the GAA in Cork. In this regard, Coiste Oiliuna is now trying to work more closely with club school link coaches to improve the quality of this coaching. September saw the first workshop specifically designed for coaches who give up their time to work in their local national schools
Hurling Development Squads & Schools of Excellence

2010 has seen a large increase in activity Hurling Development Squads and Schools of Excellence. Players were brought together for trials as early as February and the work done by players and management since has been a credit to all involved.
