Cork Clubs Play in Croke Park

Cork clubs big day in Croke Park
Munster Council hosted blitzes in Croke Park on the 26th/27th April for clubs in the Province. As part of this initiative, eight lucky Cork clubs were chosen to participate. The teams played 3 games on the pitch as well as a stadium tour.
The under 12 teams from St Finbarrs, Cloughduv, Fermoy and Carrigaline played hurling on the first day and Dromtarriffe, Castlehaven, Bantry and Aghada played football on the folowing day.
Another chance for such a historic day may present itself to the chosen few later in their careers, but for the vast majority, this may well be the highlight of their playing careers.
Well done to all involved and hopefully another 8 clubs will be back in Croke Park next year living the dream.
